Elmhurst man accused of cutting brother in argument

An Elmhurst man faces charges after his brother’s arm was slashed during a Christmas Eve argument at a home in the 600 block of Walnut Avenue.

Kurt B. Erickson, 18, of the 600 block of Walnut Avenue, was charged with domestic battery at about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 24. He is accused of arguing with his brother about loud talking that was keeping him awake, police said. A knife with a six-inch blade was used to cut his brother in the arm, police said.

Erickson was transported to DuPage County Jail. The victim was treated and released from Elmhurst Hospital.
