The Hanover Township Mental Health Board will hold an informational meeting on July 19 regarding fiscal year 2013 mental health grants. Starting at 10:00AM, at the Poplar Creek Library in Streamwood, prospective agencies will receive an update on the grant application process. Staff will also be available to answer questions regarding funding, guideline changes and application deadlines.

“We encourage agencies currently receiving funding or those interested in applying for the first time, to come to the meeting and learn about the grant process,” said Hanover Township Mental Health Board Coordinator Suzanne Powers.

Created in 1977 by referendum, the Hanover Township Mental Health Board approves grants to agencies that provide services to residents with developmental disabilities like Down syndrome, mental illness or substance abuse.
