For the second year, School District U-46 will offer a free Parents Resource Fair.
The fair is offered by the Citizens’ Advisory Council and the U-46 Special Education Department, and is open to anyone with an interest in special needs services. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3, at Elgin High School, 1200 Maroon Drive.
Representatives from Easter Seals, UPS for DownS, Association for Individual Development, Autism Society of Illinois, Illinois Lighthouse for the Blind and several other state, county and local organizations will be on hand to provide information.
There will also be a panel hosted by Greater Elgin Family Care Center and Streamwood Behavioral Health at 10 a.m., discussing health and wellness. Elgin Community College, Pact Inc. of DuPage County, DayOne Network of Kane County and the Illinois Department of Health Services will host a panel on post-secondary experiences at 11 a.m.
