St. Joseph School in Downers Grove, IL recently was notified that they were selected as winners of a contest entitled "Why My School Pops?". The contest was sponsored by Popchips, the newest type of healthy chips.

St. Joseph School, a Catholic School in Downers Grove, Illinois, pops because it is run by a really cool principal (Mrs. Stasi) who really understands and cares for the children of the school. Even though the school is over 100 years old, Mrs. Stasi runs the school efficiently and always provides the children a place with plenty of school and after school activities. The teachers pop because they are also very encouraging and provide a challenging curriculm for the kids. Our teachers at St. Joseph have been there for many years, with one teacher Ms. Gaffud, who has been there over 40 years. At the end of May, the school puts on a Spring Show (VIP day which honors the very important people in the lives of the kids) which is run by two fantastic music and art teachers. In art class the kids make all the decorations for the event and in music each class learns a special song according to the theme of the year. This year's theme is holidays. It is such a great thing to be a part of. St. Joseph School. It is really a great place to be!
The School has won 200 bags of the product and additional coupons and giveways. Popchips will be given to students during next month's Field Day celebrations.

St. Joseph School participated in a Goodwill "Pass It On" promotion where clothes and other items were collected for Goodwill. The school who collected and delivered the most items to a Goodwill Store during the month of April would win a visit by Brian Campbell from the Chicago Blackhawks and other Blackhawk memorabilia. St. Joseph School families went to work on their spring cleaning and together collected over 30 thousand items. St. Joseph School came in Second Place and won second prize–15 autographed Blackhawk baseball hats.
