During the Montini Catholic High School Founder’s Day Ceremony, two seniors (Class of 2010 Graduates), Jenna Gasbarre (Lombard) and Andres Popernik (Downers Grove) recieved the Mother Theresa Award. This award was presented by the school’s Campus Minister and Theology Teacher, Mr. Michael Blanchette.
Recipients of the Mother Theresa Award are students who participate in community service and leadership. These students are participants in the school’s campus ministry services and are good citizens within the school community as well as their own communities. These students have outstanding academic achievements and successes.
Andres Popernik is a high honor senior from Lombard. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and the Math Team. Andres is a member of the Set Crew, Spanish Club, Yearbook Club, Film & Computer Club, and the Thespian Society. He is a member of the Boys Golf Team and has achieved Academic All-Conference.
Jenna Gasbarre is an honors student from Downers Grove. She is a member of the Girls Volleyball Team, Track & Field Team, and participated in Intramural Pickleball and Badminton. Jenna is a school Broadcaster, member of Campus Ministry, and a member of the Drama Club participating in many plays and musicals. She is a member of the Spanish Club, an Executive Member of the Student Government, and a student ambassador for the school.
