St. Joseph Hosts Christmas Concert
St. Joseph School in Downers Grove hosted their annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 16th at 6:30 p.m. In their Sunday best, students performed Christmas carols for their families and school guests under the direction of Music teacher, Mary Schmitt.
Third graders traditionally create the live Nativity. Mary and Joseph were played by Anne Kippes and Andrew Sluzas, while the three kings were played by Eric Gesior, Caleb Jura and McLain Hodgkiss. Multiple solos were performed by the middle school students.
Each year, students traditionally perform 'Calling the Children', 'Don't Miss the Manger' and 'Silent Night', which is performed with both vocals and in sign language.
