Valentine’s Day At St. Joseph School

Valentine's Day is sure to bring fun activities, parties and special wishes for loved ones.  At St. Joseph School, each classroom celebrates in their own way.  This special day brought thoughts to our soldiers as Miss Kruegers first graders made Valentine cards, sending them off to an organization that helps people show support our military.  This organization, 'A Million Thanks', has created a year-round campaign to show appreciation to our U.S. Military Men and Women, past and present for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to our country through letters, emails, cards, and prayers.

Fifth graders mixed math and Valentines to create their party fun, while eighth graders showed off their newly learned dance moves with the help of music teacher, Mary Schmitt.  Each year, she teaches dance steps to help prepare the eighth graders for their upcoming VIP Day celebration as well as preparing them for their 8th grade and high school dances.

Eighth grade winners included Tango dance: Ryan Walaszek & Annika Strolle, Waltz:  Jonathan Blanchard and Dana Hughes, Viennese Waltz: Sean Byrne and Emily Hodshire, Line Dance: David Criter and Serena Martinez, Electric Slide:  Grant Kasal and Erin Gentile, Cha-cha: Charlie Kovarik and Marianne Harris, Swing Dance: Paul Wagner and Grace Fleming, Cha-cha Slide: Dan Balsamo and Emma Brzezinski, and Most Enthusiastic Award winners Matt Pedraza and Meghan Harte.
