The School District 62 Board of Education will share the renovated and improved Chippewa Middle School with the general public on Thursday, March 1, 2012. A community open house, which features building tours and refreshments, is from 5:30-6:30 PM.

Wight & Company, Master Plan Construction Managers and Architects, designed and built a new commons area/cafeteria and administrative addition, which opened last spring. The addition features an administrative suite that is designed with security and guest comfort in mind. Technology Integrated Learning Environments (TILE) replaced the former administrative offices. Classrooms in the south section of Chippewa were renovated.

During the summer of 2011, the north classroom wing of Chippewa was renovated with new lighting, mechanical systems, and finishes.
