District 113 Invites Residents to Attend Community Meetings re Facilities

Historically among the best high schools in the nation, Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools are outstanding assets for the community. Academic and extracurricular programming, an exceptional staff, and a dedicated Board of Education provide innumerable opportunities for our students to excel during their high school years.

Recently the Township High School District 113 Board of Education raised this question:  Are there significant life safety and renovation projects that must be completed in order to maintain our educational excellence?

In order to learn the views of community members regarding this question, the Board has scheduled two community engagement meetings in September with more to follow in October, November, and December. Board and community members will listen to residents to understand their views and priorities.

The meetings are open to all residents of Township High School District 113. Meeting dates and times are as follows:

September 21 — Highland Park High School Auditorium, 7:00-9:30 PM

September 28 — Deerfield High School, E114, 7:00-9:30 PM

October 27 – Deerfield High School, E114, 7:00-9:30 PM

November 2 – Highland Park High School, Auditorium, 7:00-9:30 PM

November 30 – Highland Park High School, Auditorium, 7:00-8:30 PM

December 7 – Deerfield High School, Auditorium, 7:00-8:30 PM

Residents are also encouraged to go to the District 113 website to continue to stay apprised of the feedback we receive from community members regarding the facility needs assessment. The website address is:  www.dist113.org
