Our Lady of Peace School 8th grade boys volleyball team defeated St. Scholastica to claim the DuPage Parochial League Volleyball Championship title. In an arena-like setting at Glenbard West High School, OLP won the match in a fierce, nail bitting two game battle with scores of 25-20 and 25-22.

Together since fifth grade, the OLP 8th grade boys team has been a strong competitor all four years. The team first achieved success with a first place title in its 6th grade season, along with second place in championship play that same year. This year, OLP edged out Ss. Peter & Paul in a playoff match up before the championship. Two out of four years of play, the team played up a grade level to accommodate one team player. Still, they remained a tough team to beat with an impressive winning record. Team coach and school parent Marie Becker recruited the team in fourth grade. Their success is their legacy.
