Calling all young athletes! Registration has begun at Indian Boundary YMCA for our Youth Sports Prep Association 2010 fall season. Leagues are forming now for basketball, soccer, T-Ball / Coach Pitch, family soccer league and Football. These leagues are open to boys and girls between the ages of 3-12. Leagues with an exception of basketball will start the week of September 11th through October 30th. The youth basketball league runs October 18th through December 18th. Best of all, everyone plays, everyone wins at the Y where we work to help kids feel good about themselves, set personal goals and achieve them, help others succeed, give their best effort, learn new skills and meet new friends. Indian Boundary Y also welcomes and encourages parent involvement in our sports activities as coaches, officials and committee members. Our goal is to bring the family together to support a healthy, active lifestyle and to have fun, too!
“The YMCA Youth Sports program doesn’t remove competition from the sport; it just puts it in the proper perspective. Winning is important, but so is having a good time, participating, learning new skills, and learning to respect officials, coaches, and other teams,” said Jason Culver, IBY Athletic Director.
