Our Lady of Peace girls ages preschool thru 4th grade who participated in a cheerleading camp at Our Lady of Peace Catholic School in Darien joined the OLP cheering squad during the Homecoming Football game on Sunday, September 12th. Many families came out to enjoy the beautiful 80 degree day and watch the game, which was held at Hinsdale South’s practice field. The half time show featured the cheerleading squad with the young cheerleaders in training. Cameras snapped pictures of the little girls wearing matching t-shirts and big smiles. Because it was the 10th anniversary of the Our Lady of Peace football program, past coaches and players that were present were recognized on the field at half time. There was a long list read of OLP football alums who currently play college football. The enthusiastic crowd’s spirit was not dampened by the loss on the field.
