Over 50 scouts, siblings and dads entered cars to race in Cub Scout Pack 140’s “Derby”. Pack 140 is chartered through Saint Mary Parish. After all the races for the scouts concluded, all siblings a chance to race their cars (from Barbie to Sponge Bob designs) as well as dads that have a need for speed. In addition to speed, awards were given out for most original, scout theme and traditional designs. To complement the afternoon of racing, Pack 140 held its annual chili cook off. This year there were over 10 chili crock pot entries. Fun was had by all tasting all the great chilies, watching the races and then having your favorite chili and a hot dog for lunch. Congratulations to Cub Scout Pack 140 on a wonderful event.
