People and dogs alike are invited to join the three mile “Walk for the Goose”. The walk is in support of the Ovarian Cancer Symptom Awareness organization (OCSA), which was founded by Buffalo Grove locals Rick and Susan Roman and their friend, Vallie Szymanski, after Susan, better known as “Goose”, was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer in August of 2009. The walk will start at the Windings Clubhouse and follow along the scenic Great Western Trail. 8:00 am – 9:30 am Registration 9:30 am -10:00 am – Welcome 10:00 am – 11:30 am – 1-3 Mile Walk on the Great Western Trail 11:30 am – 12:00 pm – Lunch Registration includes the walk, a T-shirt and lunch afterward. Register (after August 19, 2010): $20 – Children under 12 $30 – Walkers (With or without Dogs) $10 – Scouts September 19, 2010: $35 – On site registration The walk will proceed rain or shine.
