One of the two Bolingbrook males who burglarized the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Center in June 2011 was booked into the Will County Adult Detention Facility this week on a charge of criminal sexual abuse.

The charge, formally filed Tuesday, alleges Michael A. Casas, 20, of the 200 block of Plainview Drive, assaulted a younger teen in Bolingbrook on Aug. 15 2011 — roughly midway between his June 27 arrest for the break-in and his Nov. 8 guilty plea.

Casas received a 24-month suspended sentence and was ordered to make restitution to the park district. Prosecutors also dropped an associated felony charge of criminal damage to government property.

Prosecutors have since filed a petition to revoke the suspended sentence, and Casas is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 28.

He remained in the Adult Detention Facility Tuesday in lieu of $200,000 bail.
