Even if you’re not in the market for power equipment, a Bolingbrook-based company that sells generators, snow blowers and other appliances has a good deal going this month.

For every “Like” its Facebook page gets until Sept. 30, Power Equipment Direct will donate $1 to Operation Support our Troops, a Naperville-based group that prepares and sends packages to soldiers serving overseas.

PED Founder Jon Hoch said the money raised, up to $5,000, will help the group prepare holiday-themed packages to be sent to troops around Christmastime.

Facebook users can participate by visiting PED’s Facebook page and hitting the “Like” button.
