Batavia
About $180 worth of vodka and more than $500 worth of DVDs were reported stolen from Jewel, 119 S. Randall Rd., on Feb. 14. A wallet was also reported stolen from Jewel in a separate incident that same day from somebody’s purse in a shopping cart.
A Kindle Touch was reported stolen on Feb. 16 from Batavia High School, 1201 Main St.
The back window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Main Street was found smashed on Feb. 17.
Someone shot through the window of All Sports Marketing, 916 First St., on Feb. 18 with a BB gun. Damage was estimated to be about $500.
Geneva
Geneva police recently announced they are now using the website idthisperson.com to find suspects. A citizen who identifies a suspect on the site will receive $25 from the site. Police add pictures of unidentified suspects that the public can view. The public can look through the pictures and anonymously identify them.
St. Charles
A 35-year-old Elmhurst man was charged with felony deceptive practice for allegedly writing a check for a van at Don McCue Chevrolet on Feb. 11 though he knew the account was closed. The man was on parole and had had his license revoked. He had purchased a car from a Villa Park dealership the previous week; the check for that purchase had bounced.
A 26-year-old Carol Stream man was charged with battery on Jan. 1 for allegedly striking an employee at the Filling Station, 300 W. Main St. that same night.
