Blistering heat didn’t stop the masses from showing support for a local no-kill animal shelter Saturday, when suburbanites joined their canine counterparts for a day dedicated to the dogs.

More than 330 people participated in Animal House Shelter’s inaugural Dash for the Dogs 5k and 1-mile Fun Walk at Citizens Park in Barrington. (Read more)
