Fast Facts: Barrington hasn’t had the chance to play in the annual Mid-Suburban League championship game in two decades, but got back into the mix by winning the West division title last week. The seeds for the resurgence were planted with last year’s regional championship, but now a balanced attack led by Gerrard and Weathered have the Broncos ready to take another step this season. After an 8-6 start, the Broncos have gone 10-3 in their past 13 games. Prospect comes in on a roll, winning eight of its last nine games and winning the Mid-Suburban East title outright. LaTulip makes the Knights go. He is among the MSL leaders in scoring this season as a junior and is a prolific free-throw shooter. Botefuhr stands 6-foot-9 and may pose problems for the smaller Broncos down low. Prospect has won the East division crown for four straight seasons.
