The annual “Fall Tea” sponsored by the Barringto/Northwest Community Associates will be held on September 2, 2010, at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington. The tea is open to the public and will begin at 1:00 p.m. with condiments and beverage. Board Chair Jo Brynildssen will introduce the calendar of events for the 2010/2011 season which include wonderful excursions and programs focusing on art and art-related topics. The featured speaker for the afternoon tea is Debra Mancoff who will present “Victoria’s Secrets: British Art in the Art Institute of Chicago.” Her lecture will invite the audience to step back in history and discover the lively, popular and diverse art world during Victoria’s reign.
