A father and son were arrested after police seized drugs, guns and other items from their Barrington home.

Mark Bopp, 52, and Adam Bopp, 23, were arrested this morning at their home in the 200 block of W. Lincoln Avenue, police said. They have yet to be charged.

U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents, members of a police drug task force and Barrington police started to search the home at 6 a.m. after obtaining a warrant as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Police have not specified what kind of drugs, how much or other details of what they found. During the search, the home was labeled uninhabitable due to health safety violations, police said.

Jeffrey Padilla, deputy director of the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group, said the drug bust was taking place “in multiple locations right now across both Cook and Lake Counties.”

Police said additional arrests could come from the investigation.
