The following items were taken from Barrington Police Records Sept. 1
Theft
Doll furniture, clothing, kitchen utensils, silverware, china, vases and jewelry were reported missing on Aug. 31 from an apartment in the 500 block of Shorely Drive where a 96-year-old woman lives and has a caretaker. Some items were returned after the caretaker was confronted.
Attempted theft
Four dresses valued at $450 were stolen at about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 29 from a clothing store at 202 South Cook Street but recovered because an employee chased two teen girls, one of whom pulled the dresses from her purse.
Battery
An 18-year-old Barrington High School student was arrested at about 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 31 and charged with battery for knocking another student unconscious while at the Dog Tracks eatery.
Disorderly conduct
A 17-year-old Barrington High School student was arrested at about 10:56 a.m. on Aug. 27 and charged with disorderly conduct after a verbal dispute during a class escalated into a physical altercation after class.
Consumption of alcohol by minors
Five teens were arrested and charged with illegal alcohol consumption at the same house in the 600 block of East Main Street between Aug. 25 and Aug. 27. Four 19-year-olds, one from Hoffman Estates, and an 18-year-old who lives in the house, admitted to drinking, police said.
