On Saturday evening, February 11, at 7:30 pm, Congregation Etz Chaim will present “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” a gala evening of casino-style gaming, appetizer buffet, premium raffles, live music, and dancing to the popular 12-piece ensemble, the Chi-Town Showstoppers. The event, a benefit to support the work of the Congregation, will be held in the social hall of the synagogue at 1710 S. Highland Avenue, Lombard. All are welcome.
“The Chi-Town Showstoppers are incredible, versatile musicians who will rock the hall with danceable R&B, rock, funk, pop, swing, and jazz standards,” comments Etz Chaim Brotherhood president and event co-chair Howard Bender. "Puttin’ on the Ritz” is an event that not only raises money for great cause, but brings our entire community together for a fun-filled evening!"
Tickets for “Puttin’ on the Ritz” are $25 per person, which includes the lavish appetizer buffet, unlimited dancing, a stack of gaming chips, and access to the Premium Raffle.
Raffle items can be previewed starting at 7:30 pm and will be awarded throughout the evening. Additional gaming chips and cash bar will be available at the event. Gaming, live music, and dancing will continue from 8 pm-11 pm. “Black tie is definitely not required,” adds Bender. “Dress as you wish for this smashing event.”
Etz Chaim’s Brotherhood and Ways & Means Committee are presenting the gala evening. “Gold, Silver, and Bronze Level sponsorships with generous packages of benefits are still available,” notes Jim Weiskopf, event co-chair.
