Fearn Elementary School students and staff recently reached a goal of reading more than one million minutes, a challenge than began Oct. 1. Along the way, fifth-grade students helped gather reading data and post it on a bar graph and a progress meter. To help celebrate, local storyteller Linda Gorham will visit Fearn next month and the Fearn PTA is dedicating Fearn’s Fun Fair to the effort. This challenge was sponsored by the A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools.
