National Night Out- GRENO 6th Annual

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT –AUGUST 3, 2010 GEORGETOWN AREA, AURORA, IL TO JOIN CITIES NATIONWIDE FOR “AMERICA’S NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME” On Tuesday, August 3, 2010 neighborhoods throughout the City of Aurora are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 27th Annual National Night Out (NNO), which is sponsored nationally by National Association of Town Watch and locally hosted in the Fox Valley area by Georgetown Relief Efforts Neighborhood Organization (GRENO). “This is our 6th year anniversary hosting this crime prevention and safety awareness event and we have many fabulous activities lined up,” Kris Harvey, GRENO co-chair and event planner stated. From 6:00 pm-8:00 pm there will be free hot dogs, lemonade and chips, in addition to live music by “Groove Ethics” and “Dan Becker and the Tourists”. “A Clown Called Pancakes” will perform and the Aurora Library Book Mobile will be on hand for the two hour event. A children’s area will include face painting and balloon creations as well as meeting “McGruff the Crime Dog” and various other vendors. In addition to games, live music, free food and magic show, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Kane and Kendall County will be on hand to join in the festivities as the community rallies in giving crime and drugs a going away party. The event is located at 995 Long Grove Drive in the Georgetown subdivision, from 6- 8 pm and is free and open to the public.
