TribLocal High School Player of the Month
The TribLocal High School Player of The Month contest is underway featuring deserving student athletes from local high schools. Any registered user of TribLocal.com may vote once per month. Registering is easy and free. The winning athlete’s school will receive a $250 donation from TribLocal. Voting will end at 9 p.m., Feb. 16. Registered users may vote once every 24 hours.

Junior Waubonsie Valley girls basketball player Gratia Brooks had a solid month of January. In t five games (4-1) she averaged 10.8 ppg, including a 21 point effort against South Elgin. She averaged 7.5 rebounds per game for the month of January. Gratia has been very instrumental in compiling an overall 16-2 record (as of Jan. 26) for the Warriors.
