Saint James School Principal, Mrs. Judy Pappas, has been named to the Saint Viator High School Board of Trustees. The 23-member board is an active, integral part of the SVHS community, and is dedicated to maintaining the character of St. Viator as a Catholic, Viatorian secondary school. Each member serves a three-year term, and Mrs. Pappas is looking forward to her service on the Strategic Planning Committee during her term.
Mrs. Pappas believes that her background as an educator and a parent will help her in this new role at St. Viator. "I am looking forward to being pushed and stretched as an educator, and to thinking beyond my everyday tasks at St. James," says Mrs. Pappas. She also believes her role on the Board at St. Viator will help her as principal at St. James—being part of a planning committee and seeing the direction that St. Viator would like to go will help her know that St. James is heading in the right direction, preparing its students for high school and beyond. Two of Mrs. Pappas' children also graduated from SVHS, so she also has a personal connection with the school, and is grateful to have the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.
