High Blood Pressure Panel Discussion

First Health Associates is announcing a free panel discussion on high blood pressure to be held from 11:00 AM to 12 Noon, Saturday, February 25th at Pioneer Park in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Hypertension has been called the Silent Killer because it carries few outward physical symptoms until ranges become extremely high or a major event occurs. 60% of Americans suffer from hypertension with as many as 28% unaware they have hypertension according to the Joint National Committee on Hypertension, a group of physicians, researchers and educators formed exclusively for establishing guidelines for the treatment of high blood pressure.
The seminar will address the self help steps patients should be taking on their own and in conjunction with prescribed medications when diagnosed with hypertension.
“Even mildly elevated blood pressure can cause severe damage over time,” says Dr. Ric Saguil, MD. “Patients suffering from hypertension are typically put on medications without being told that there are important self-help steps that can make a big difference. Most physicians simply don’t have the time to review these important steps with their patients. ”
The panel will feature providers of various disciplines discussing options in treatment both medically and important self-care steps. Speakers include Ric Saguil, M.D. Family Medicine, Tom Jordan, R.D. Dietitian, Katrina Christie, LCPC Behavioral Health Counselor, Aimee Weber, BS Exercise Physiologist and Jennifer Green, N.D. Naturopath. The seminar is limited to 50 attendees. Pioneer Park is at 500 South Fernandez Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. The seminar is free, and those interested in attending are asked to RSVP through First Health Associates by calling (847) 593-3330 or online at http://firsthealthassociates.com/custom_content/c_224958_registration__hbp_hypertention_seminar.html.
