Those who work or benefit from the work of others are invited to a special Labor Day Sunday celebration, September 4th at 9:30am at The METROPOLIS Performing Arts Centre, 111 W. Campbell, Arlington Heights.
Rev. C.J. Hawking, the morning's guest preacher is the Executive Director of Arise Chicago and visiting lecturer on labor and social movements at the University of Illinois. She coauthored Staley which won three Book of the Year awards. C.J. Hawking also serves as the Harry F. Ward pastor for Social Justice at the Euclid Ave. United Methodist Church, Oak Park.
The METROPOLIS is the temporary home of First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights which is currently ongoing a major renovation of its Euclid Avenue campus. All are welcome.
