The following items were taken from Arlington Heights Police records on Feb. 6.
Theft
- Four bottles of beer were stolen from an unlocked garage on the 4200 block of North Salem Drive between 12:15 and 5:30 a.m. Residents believe the thieves may have stayed and smoked cigarettes in the garage.
- The front and rear license plates of a beige 2005 Nissan Altima were stolen from the car parked in a lot on the 1500 block of North Windsor Drive between midnight and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 5.
Burglary
- A garage door was forced open and a rock was thrown through the kitchen window of a home on the 0 to 100 block of North Evanston Avenue at 1 a.m. Feb. 4. The rock shattering the glass woke up the sleeping residents, who went downstairs to check on the sound. Police believe the burglars may have attempted to remove items in the garage, but left when they heard the residents wake up.
Vehicle burglary
- A Garmin GPS, valued at $170, was stolen from an unlocked silver 2003 Ford Windstar van on the 1500 block of Best Drive between 10 p.m. Feb. 3 and 7 a.m. Feb 4. An unlocked 1994 red Chevy Camaro was ransacked, but nothing was removed.
