Fran Riordan Returning For Season Two

 Zion, IL.- The Lake County Fielders minor league baseball team announced today that Field Manager Fran Riordan will be returning for the team’s second season in 2011.

The expansion Fielders are currently playing in their inaugural Northern League season in Zion, IL.

“When you think of the challenges Fran faced this season, he did a remarkable job,” said team Chairman Rich Ehrenreich. “Fran is first class, and our players mirrored that both on and off the field.”

Next week, Riordan will return to his home in Buffalo, New York and immediately begin planning his 2011 roster. “We were very competitive this year, and have the nucleus for big things next season.” said Riordan. “Our fans and the local businesses have supported this team in every way possible, so we’ll work hard to bring them a winner.”
